Biography

Joseph D. Zeit (Joe)- Joseph Zeit began his career in the Lake County State's Attorney's Office prosecuting misdemeanor cases including traffic and general misdemeanors, juvenile offenses, domestic violence and felony review. In that role Joseph was able to hone his skills and learn to become a trial lawyer. While in that role Joseph was able to try cases ranging from murder, Aggravated DUI, sex offenses, and white-collar theft. Since joining the Law Offices of Douglas E. Zeit Joseph has been instrumental in obtaining acquittals for clients charged with serious criminal offenses. Also, Joseph has obtained winning verdicts in Civil Forfeiture proceedings, including People v. $22,000, and People v. $35,000.
